I moved from the Midwest to NYC 4 years ago at the ripe age of 22 to figure it out. Nebraska was never going to satisfy me. I fell madly, passionately in love with the city and it sparked a mass amount of creativity and ingenuity in me (it tends to have that effect on people). I began writing again- a pastime I've been doing since I was 7 and I wrote the great classic "Bee Facts." It was a picture book on bumble bees. The 1st page said "Bee's love honey." Everyone's got to start somewhere. But this hobby has begun to evolve.
TheNewYorkSpark.com has been in my head for years but it wasn't until 2021 that it took the form it was meant to. I've combined my love of NYC, writing, my skills in heavy researching on what's happening in the city and the incessant need to give my unnecessarily strong opinions into something I am so proud of. Along with friends and fellow New Yorkers, I want to create a source for New Yorkers and prospective New Yorkers to get a taste of the city and to find their spark- like me and so many other people in New York City have.
