$4 Wine, Greek Hot Spot in Bushwick That Will Blow You Away- Yia Yia's is a must visit!

Updated: Jul 16, 2021

One thing about me- I'm going to travel for Greek Food. This place aligned perfectly with what we were looking for, a spot biking distance to our comedy show but there was a plethora of bumping places in the surrounding area with assures me this would be a great addition to any Bushwick night on the town.

Whether you started vintage shopping and your headed to get that $4 wine on HH or your about to head out for the night, this is a great date/group dinner spot for everyone!

Streets around the area aren't heavily populated but you'll definitely find some gems. Bushwick itinerary below.

Let's talk about the SAGANAKI! Flawless. A lot of pita, flavorful and they LIT IT AT THE RESTARAUNT. I don't see this a lot in NYC for fire hazard laws I assume, but wow, they flambéed and we indulged.

This might be my favorite Saganaki in the city thus far. Big portion, delicious cheese, soft pita.

The giant Gyro Platter was the stunner. It came with potatoes or fries/Greek salad, meat and tzatziki and we were stuffed. They also brought out unending pita that we never got charged for- which leads me to the SERVICE.

100/10 stars. Not only was it not HH when we went but they gave us HH prices. $4 WINE! They also just brought us a refill to ensure we were enjoying our meal, at no additional charge, just a happy surprise! Our waiter was quick on his feet, attentive and the owner was present as well, guaranteeing a 5 star experience I haven't truly had in New York City.

They were truly above and beyond kind, we got to speak to the owner about how he runs his business, how he’s managed through the pandemic, and how important indoor dining is to him now. Go here, get the delicious Baklava and add it to your Bushwick itinerary for a fabulous night.

BUSHWICK ITINERARY

Go here after a movie at Syndicated. It's also tight next to Forrest Point- a great outdoor venue for groups. Elsewhere Rooftop and Our Wicked Lady are lively spots with a strong Brooklyn crowd right around the corner as well. We Citibiked our way to the rooftop comedy show at Tiny Cupboard- not the greatest area to bike into, would only recommend doing this if you have a large group or men involved.
