I would do dirty dirty things for a good Espresso Martini. This was a good Espresso Martini. If your date doesn't drink or you don't KNOW if they drink or not, this place is a safe space. It's nestled on a comfy cobblestone street with a quiet atmosphere in the Meatpacking District. Expensive cocktails, yes, but I would consider it a good sign if your date didn't take that into consideration.
From this spot, you're an easy walk to Chelsea Market or down Hudson River Park. Maybe even the Whitney Museum of Modern Art. My personal least favorite type of art. BUT - if you can have fun at the Whitney, then you know they're a keeper! Wow look at that blob. That's a nice blob. The mysticism of modern art, man. (Whitney's pay-what-you-wish on Fridays 6-9!)
