I've always felt this place looked like an atypical crowd for the East Village but they've always had a great outdoor area that drew me to them. They have a lot going for them- happy hour everyday from 1-8 pm and some brunch deals on Sunday.
We were led here when the wait at Miss Lily's was too long so we sucked it up. Unfortunately, we we're all in the mood for more fatty-burrito-the-size-of-our-head energy and it gave us $16-tapas-that-consisted-of-2-bite-sized-empanadas energy.
I'd call it a place to kill time with a drink rather than a hot dinner date spot, so don't get sucked in by the crowd and the aesthetics, there are much better eats in the area. I'd do Verlaine for tapas of this quality- (Verlaines got the same quality of tapas but at least they price it accordingly.)
