3 Different Cafés in Williamsburg for 3 Different Occasions

Updated: Jun 9, 2021

The Study/Work Day: Lion’s Milk

This Turkish café is the best spot for a work or study session. It is rarely super crowded and off Roebling, which typically isn’t too busy. Also, when it’s not too cold they open up the backyard area, which is a nice change of scenery when you’re staring at a screen for hours. The people who work here are also so sweet and are always playing the best R&B jams. If you get hungry while studying, have great Turkish food. Try the Istanbul – you will not regret it.

The Coffee Date/Hang Out: Sweatshop

This is a staple in Williamsburg. It is usually super lively on weekends with people running in and out and gathering around the benches outdoors. This is the perfect place to grab some coffee during a casual hangout. They probably have my favorite coffee in the neighborhood and some amazing croissants as well.

I always get the mocha when I go here. This Aussie expresso bar is definitely a perfect place for some brekkie and Sunday hangs.

The Coffee Walk: Homecoming

So this one is technically a plant shop, but they have amazing coffee too! It’s right off Berry which is my favorite street to stroll down when I’m in Williamsburg. There's lots of great shops and restaurants around and its just a couple blocks from the pier. If you’re taking a walk swing by Homecoming and grab a coffee. While you wait, you can peruse all the beautiful plants they have and try to convince yourself not to buy a $50 pot. They also have a great outdoor space where you can sip on your coffee and rest your legs.
