Mad Dog & Beans is such a surprising deep love of mine, the one on Stone Street is so much fun, the margarita towers, everything- and they're pretty much celebrating for 2 weeks so stop in every day leading up to Cinco and HARD on the Cinco.
Toro Loco
Also on Stone Street is TORO LOCO. An absolute killer time. Might be booked up on actual Cinco de Mayo but get there on Cinco De Mayo weekend regardless.
El Vez
A reco in Tribeca with the cutest outdoor dining and inside aethetics. Vegan options and abundant tequila flights!
Kips Bay

Hudson Station
Would I recommend Hudson Station? So close to Times Square? Never. But if you're in the UWS or nearby, why turn town Open Bar and tacos? It's bar food and for the area, surprisingly a decent amount of sports guys (it's a big sports bar.) Get tix here.
Cantina Rooftop
Cantina Rooftop is so aesthetically cool with their San Juan-esque umbrellas drapped over the rooftop- bring friends and get the BIG ASS taco to make it an extra memorable Cinco De Mayo. It's $80 which feels like a steal of a deal to be for it to be like 80 tacos worth.
Vida Verde They have a happy hour till 6 T-F which is so rare for a rooftop! They have the greatest Truffle Mushroom quesadilla and a great Marg selection.
Mid/Upper East
Taco Vision
I know Cinco De Mayo is a Wednesday but that doesn't mean we can't extend that into brunch. TacoVision has BOTTOMLESS TACOS & Booze for a killer brunch deal here. If the link is sold out it's still $40 a person, with a lovely outdoor area and vibrant space- you will love this place. They alo have HH+All Tacos $3 EVERY TUEDAY
Mason Jar
Not a Mexican restaraunt so keep that in mind BUT on Tuesdays $3 Tacos and FIVE DOLLAR Margs- it is the cheapest Margarita's I've found in the city. So go here and stay up till midnight and you'll bring in Cinco De Mayo properly.

El Camion Cantina
This is my hidden gem I'm scared to share. But I always have people meet me here for Taco Tuesday. They have Happy Hour during the week till 6 with fab margs and yummy fish bowls. This quesadilla is one of my favorites.
Fonda
If you've bottomless brunched and have cool friends then you've done it here. But with a great HH with Food Monday-Thurs 4-6 in East Village, Chelsea, and Park Slope - it would be a perfect place for a good time.
La Contenta
In Greenwich and LES, with a HH that includes food until 6, La Contenta is always a good choice.
Rosies
Obviously this was going to be on the list. I don't know why it's just the quintessential taco+margs spot on the East side. No special deals unless you sit at the bar and we all know... we don't want to sit at the bar when they have that primo sidewalk seating. So pay a lot for a little food but a lot of fun.
Jajaja
LES, WV, Hudson Yards and Williamsburg- ALL VEGAN. Obsessed with this place and the burrito draped in the Mexican flag- 10/10.
