Well duh. An absolute perfect day date is always going to be the Met. Go to Central Park, have a picnic and then head to the Met. Learn something, enjoy some culture, I don't think you need any additional input on the magic of the Met.
Pro tip: it's free for anyone with a NY ID, or NY library card (only need one proof for 2 people).
Also Hercules with the absolute DUMP TRUCK had us shook. Enjoy.
